my father worked on the lines in 1945-1950s when we stayed in Balsporran cottages then owned by the railway co. I started school at Dalwhinnie primary. I can remember Dougie Mathieson, he used to pick us up to take us to school. Our neighbours were the Gunns and Mrs Ramsay I believe. Would love to give more info if possible. I also remember staying in the Bachan cottages and County March. If anyone remembers these names please get in touch, the McIntosh's,Ross's, Nan and Jock McLean. Also went to Dalnaspidal School. Would love to hear from anyone who remembers those wonderful times 1945-1950s.

Peter - Mary Kennedy went to Dalnaspidal School - along with Madeleine Keiller. Mary lived at Allt na Gourach then. So did Lillian Bridges and other of her family when they lived at County March.
