Locomotive "Ben Alder"

Loco "Ben Alder" # 54398-taken at Inverurie. Engine scrapped early 1960's. A pity since it was used to provide steam heat for Monty's train "Rapier" during the 4 day visit in May 1944. It came down daily from Aviemore - a regular driver being Mr Douglas Wilkie of Aviemore, who belonged to Ladybank in Fife.
