The Montgomery Plaque at the Station. A remarkable and proud piece of history for the village - brought to light by luck with thanks to Mrs Doreen James who got the story published in the Sunday Post in the mid 1990's. When I read that, I could hardly believe it. I actually wondered why Charlie McLagan hadn't ever told me.
