Syd Scroggie - the blind mountaineer

The late Syd Scroggie - the blind mountaineer in 2005. Syd served with the Lovat's Scouts and proudly displays their headgear. Syd served in the Pioneer Corps in the early part of the War - working at Ben Alder Estate. He wrote several poems about the local mountain bothies. Sleep in peace my old friend. His book "Cairngorms Scene and Unseen" tells stories of McCook's Cottage.
